Mammovision
New development with superior
technology
Leading
experts from the field of gynecology and preventive medicine
have developed a new method with superior technology
used especially for the early detection of malign
mammarian diseases. This multiple patented system
possesses a very high sensitivity and is completely
harmless. It is comfortable to use and can be repeated
at any time. The dynamic infrared mammography (MammoVision® )
is based on a highly soluble and exact recording
of the infrared radiation of the breast and the
adjacent tissue. The dynamic regulation test towards
a standardized cold stimulus delivers additional
valuable information over the seriousness or the
state of possible pathological changes. Therefore
two examination series each from three pictures
slanted from right to left, as well as frontal;
once directly after undressing and once after a
10 minute cool-down phase of approximately 2° C.
Non-invasive, absolutely harmless and comfortable
examination For the woman being examined there
is no kind of radiation, wether from ionizing rays
(X-Ray), nor through pressure or compression of
the breasts. Free of contact and in a distance
of approximately one metre the breasts will be
from all directions fotographed with a highly sensitive
infrared camera and the data will be transferred
to a computer that is connected nearby. The patient
is sitting comfortably and relaxed during the entire
examination in a special examination device. With
the help of the dynamic infrared mammography (MammoVision®)
it is for the first time possible to intervene
in the metabolic process of the breast tissue,
which precedes the malign diseases of the breast.
At the same time, the direct success of this preventive
method can be exactly measured and documented through
nonstrenuous control examinations. Naturally not
every woman with a conspicuous result will develop
breast cancer, yet prevention is in most cases
an improvement, even though if it is only a minor
reduction of troublesome discomfort and pain as
well as enlargement of the breast and mastopathia.
In consideration of the most and severe diagnosis „ breast
cancer“, every possibility and every senseful
initiative for prevention has to be used. The detection
of existing tumors through established examination
techniques such as palpation, mammography and ultrasound
is still most important. But in a positive case
it is already too late for ´prevention` (derives
from the latin word ´praevenire` = to forestall).
Alone the dynamic infrared mammography (MammoVision®)`
is at this time able to detect developing tendencies
for possible malign diseases of the breast by detection
of an activated metabolism in the breast tissue
in such an early stadium to be an indication for
preventive intervention. Naturally in a case of
a clear pathological or conspicuous change further
clinical diagnostic is advised and should be initiated
directly. In many documented cases the results
of the dynamic infrared mammography (MammoVision®)were
the deciding factors for the recognition of existing
breast tumors.
Are the results of the dynamic infrared mammography
(MammoVision®) reason for alarm ?
The long
term experiences from many physicians using this
method and the counselling of the patients show,
that it is in almost any case possible to discuss
the results of the infrared mammography (MammoVision®)
without troubling the patient. The patients will
understand clearyl that pathologic results, different
from the x-ray mammography, only show a tendency
and not a confirmed diagnose. The women concerned
will see this as a chance for prevention and a
reversal of the tendency. The woman may consider
this as a positive aspect. Another important aspect
for prevention is the motivation of the patient.
Especially if it concerns lifestyle. Even for the
untrained, the brilliant visualisation and printout
(for patient and physician) play a deciding role.
Especially at after care examinations the success
of preventive measures can be graded directly from
the picture.
What does the dynamic
infrared mammography (MammoVision®) achieve?
With no other method
is it possible to detect the actual metabolic process
in the breast, the blood circulation, the distribution
of heat and pathologic deviations within the breast.
An increase of metabolism can be caused by estrogenes,
growth hormones, local inflammations or other similar
factors. For the trained physician, these factors,
are clearly recognizable with the infrared mammography
as early signs for malign breast diseases. These
are found often in pathological MammoVision-pictures
in women with a high risk for breast cancer in
the family, mastopathia, pain and discomfort in
the breast or obesity. Additional to the visual
diagnostic by the physician all measured values
will be considered in a complex calculation process.
This is to ensure a most objective, reproducible
and complete calculation without overlooking any
aspect. Another advantage is the data pool that
concentrates all new discoveries from nationwide
results and optimizes all future calculations.

Preventive ways with pathological MammoVision results
The examinations of hundreds of women showed that
it is especially possible with the mammovision
technique to distinguish women without (actual)
risks from women with a higher risk for the development
of breast cancer. Women of high risk can be advised
of various medical measures. For example: Lifestyle
counselling in view of nutrition, physical activity
and sports, smoking, alcohol, drugs, stresscoping
(answer to the question: What should I do and what
do I have to avoid ?). Reduction or suspending
of the amount of estrogens in a hormonal therapy.
Reduction of progesterone Examinaton of the hormonal
status and its influences on the breast Estrogenes,
growth hormones, prolactin, DHEA Optimizing of
the immune system Feedback of the pathological
increased breast metabolism (deregulation.....due
to antiestrogens or antiinflammatory substances)

The dynamic infrared mammography
(MammoVision®)
in the aftercare
The dynamic infrared mammography can
not only be used for the early detection of malign
mammarian diseases and the aftercare, but also for
the supply of valuable additional information.. Through
regular monitoring of operated and clinically treated
patients, metabolic changes of the affected and operated
breast and also on the contralateral breast can be
detected early. Additionally other parts in the area
of the breast, such as axilla and the chestbone region
can be included in the clinical monitoring. Especially
remarkable is the completely harmless and non-invasive
characteristic of the dynamic infrared mammography
(MammoVision®). Since this examination is simple
and free of stress it is possible to accomplish control
examinations as many and often as desired and needed.
The excellent visualisation and the results will lead
to a better aftercare for breast cancer patients, to
a better compliance between patient and physician,
as well as an improvement in patient loyalty.
